1. Eligibility
You must be of legal drinking age in your country or jurisdiction to use this App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not encourage or promote the consumption of alcohol to minors.
2. Account
- You may use the App anonymously or sign in with your Apple ID.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.
- You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Deletion is permanent and removes all associated data (scan history, favorites, taste preferences).

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store. Key terms:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
4. Free & Premium Features
- Free users: Wine bottle scan, limited scan history (most recent item), ads displayed.
- Premium users: All scan types (wine bottle, wine menu, food), full scan history, favorites, taste preferences editing, AI sommelier notes, food pairings, no ads.
5. User Content
When you use the scan feature, you upload photos to our servers. By uploading, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share the photo (e.g., it is your own photo).
- You grant us a limited license to process the photo for the purpose of generating wine/food recommendations.
- We do not claim ownership of your photos.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The App uses artificial intelligence to provide wine recommendations, taste matching, sommelier notes, and food pairing suggestions. This content is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
- AI recommendations are not professional sommelier, medical, dietary, or health advice.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
- Always check wine labels for allergens and ingredients if you have dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Drink responsibly.
7. Advertisements
Free users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by third parties and we are not responsible for the content of those advertisements. Premium users do not see ads.
8. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
- Upload malicious, offensive, or inappropriate content.
- Abuse, exploit, or circumvent the App's features, subscription model, or security measures.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App or its data.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, AI models, and branding of WineSommelier are the property of [DEVELOPER_NAME] and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI-generated recommendations.
- We are not responsible for any health effects related to wine consumption based on App recommendations.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may also stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Effective Date" at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
